Elliot Hannon is a journalist currently based in New York City where he covers news for Slate magazine. He previously worked as a producer at NPR on Morning Edition, Weekend Edition, and Weekend All Things Considered. Elliot spent four years in New Delhi covering India for Time magazine and NPR predominantly, as well as writing for the New York Times, Foreign Policy, The Daily Beast, among others, and reporting radio stories for PRI's The World and Marketplace. Elliot kicked off his journalism career as a graduate student in South Africa, trailing Brangelina around Namibia for the Washington Post (Travel) as they looked to have their baby there. He has also written for the New Yorker (web) about a small town's lottery that went viral.
